Cooking Millet  Kasha

Ingredients:

Millet (1 glass)
Water  or milk(3 glass)
Vegetable Oil (2 tbsp)
 
Cooking Instructions

1. Wash millet 2-3 times . Even more if millet is dirty.
2. Boil water
3. Add millet, stir
4. Cover, lower heat (very important) and cook for 15 minutes
5. With spoon make a hole in millet, add  oil
6. Stir trying to mix oil with lower layers of millet, cover and cook for another 15 minutes or untill ready.


Now, to get kasha more mushy increase amount of water to 3.5-4 glasses. To get viscouse kasha (one of main ingridients while baking with millet) try to reduce amount of water to 2.5 glass.

To get more yellowish color try to fry millet on skillet for 5 minutes before cooking.
