Vegan and Vegetarian Millet Recipes


Vegetarianism is the practice of not consuming any animal protein products. Types of vegetariasm can vary: from not eating only red meat to refusing to consume any product containing animal proteins like butter or eggs. The most strict type of vegetarianism is veganism - any product related to animals (even honey) should be avoided. 

Millet is a whole grain. It goes very well not just with traditional meat and poultry but also with pumpkin, potatoes and rice. Millet can be part of traditional vegetarian salads as well. In fact, the good thing is that most of millet recipes allow easy substitution of anumal derived products with vegie alternatives: butter with oil, milk with soy milk, etc.
